Holy Guacamole

The fresh-picked avocados sit in a vintage wooden bowl by my kitchen window. I can see our avocado tree from that window, but, for the life of me, I never knew that it was rife with fruit. It took a spry, 88-year-old Irishman to bring them to my attention and my kitchen. I wonder how many other things I'm missing out on in my yard and in life.

I feel blessed to receive this gift from my yard and have just found a recipe for blessed avocados. It's called Holy Guacamole!

(You may all groan now.)

You know what's great? A lovely quesadilla cut into wedges and served with homemade guacamole.

Oh, who am I kidding? Screw the quesadilla. Just give me a spoon!
