I guess I won't be publishing that "poison pen" blog after all.
I spoke with my hospital advocate this morning and let her know what I expected to happen and when. I also shared with her my escalation plan if these things didn't happen.
Two hours later, I received a call informing me that Dr. Forman will be taking over my case and will review my second opinion from MD Anderson. He just tried to call me on my cell phone, but we live in the boonies of Altadena, where cellular service is hit and miss.
Stay tuned: Will MD Anderson get the second opinion to Dr. Forman in time? Will Dr. Forman have time to review it? (He's in Chicago later this week.) Will Susan proceed with Hyper CVAD on March 26 as planned?
I am strong.
I am invincible.
I'm exhausted.

It's been said before, but it's worth repeating: You are amazing!
See you Sunday,
e
Hmmm, I was trying to post a response when my computer crashed. If I show up twice, that'll be why.
Anyway, as I thought I was saying,
Yummy! Bruce and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday with something inspired by all the chat on tasty foods! I'm glad your're giving us a chance to perform a laying on of hugs before you start your new adventure.
Thank goodness the City of Hope came to their senses! I like thinking of them as a great place. I would have hated to see them drawn and quartered by your dangerous pen!
I really enjoy your blog and hope you will be able to continue to entertain and enlighten us after you embark on the SS CVAD. It will be hard to be in the dark when you aren't able to give us updates. But you'll build suspense, always a good writing ploy.
I think about you all the time. Half the time to send you good wishes and half the time to draw on the comfort and good advice you've given me in the past.
Hang tough, baby!
How you can laugh with such marvelously wicked humor in the face of the Monster of Bureaucracy -- to say nothing of the Monster of the Unkown -- is beyond me! You are an extraordinary spirit, as well as a glorious writer!
As for carolyn h's comment about what we're all going to do when you are undergoing chemo and are unable to continue these posts, perhaps George could take over? His posts may present "Just the facts, ma'am" but, since it'll be George writing them, we'll all know the facts are correct and true (even though he's a lawyer!).
I wonder if Cindy (maybe with Andrew) could do it, too.
Thanks to Paula, my friends and family will be able to keep tabs on me while I'm at the City of Hope.
Paula is now an official member of "Team Susan" and can post information (communicated by George, Cindy and Andrew) on the blog.
