The Hannah Clan

Nothing produces goose bumps faster than a trio of bagpipers ushering in a high school football team. If that football team happens to be in West Virginia, where the pigskin (both the athletic and culinary variety) is king, you can double the rate of chills. And if one of those pipers just happens to be your brother and he's wearing the tartan of Grandma Hannah's clan, well, it just doesn't get much better than that.

OK, I admit it, I am one of those rare ducks who LOVES bagpipe music. But I have to ask - what DOES a piper wear under his kilt? (I heard from a Scottish friend that the answer is "pride").

Suze, Piper Robert has figured out how to send his recording via email.

I'll have him shoot the file your way.

Anyone else interested?

Hi banter-ites!

I have loved bagpipes since my first visit to a Scottish Games when I was 8! I used to have a neighbor who would pipe near my house on every full moon -- hauntingly beautiful. Please send file of Robert's playing.

Best,

Jane Rollins
