Funny Little Butterflies

They're wreaking havoc in my stomach this morning because today's an "envelope day," when I find out the results of my PET and CT scans at the City of Hope. I'll also find out what those whacky eosinophils have been up to.

I'll post after my appointments this morning.

UPDATE: Hurrah! The scans are clean; I'm still in remission.

We're still waiting for the lab results of what's called the eosinophil (EOS) differentials and should have them back tomorrow. If we find that the EOS are on the rise, we'll develop a plan.

That's so great, Susan. Have you heard about your eosinophils yet?

Great news, Susan. Let us know about those eosin..ophils. I had to scroll down and get the second half of the word. I hope you get good news there, too.

More good news - my EOS levels are still low. They are just 2% (of the white blood). When I was at my worst, they had risen to 55%.

Now I get to completely taper off the Prednisone and will see what happens.

Wonderful news about the scan and your dip in the eosonophil number.
By the way my grandmother had an alligator bag and my Mom through it out. When I saw yours I called my Mom and told her. She said they were so popular years ago. I love handbags too.

Congratulations on your double dose of good news!

seriously good news!

but what I'm more jealous of is that R word...remission. They technically won't let me use that just yet. Next week perhaps after my scan.

the good or bad news, I STILL cannot pronounce or spell eosinophils...maybe I'll get out of having to do that! ;-)
